Tips from Our Chiropractor for Avoiding Weight Gain
During the Holidays

The holidays are fast approaching and in all the “hustle and bustle” your healthy diet can easily fall by the way side. Parties and other holiday activities almost always involve food in one way or another. Avoiding weight gain during the holidays can be difficult. The team at Masula Chiropractic, Neurology and Family Wellness offer many services including life style advice and nutritional counseling to help with weight struggles during the holiday season.

Chico wellness doctor provides healthy eating tipsSome tips for avoiding holiday weight gain are to make sure that you stick to a regular sleep and exercise routine, eat a small healthy meal before a party so that you will be full upon arrival and to watch your alcohol intake as alcoholic drinks are typically full of empty calories.

Other suggestions are to eat slowly, choose high protein foods and stay clear of the food table so that you are not tempted by all of the decadent treats. Socializing can be one way to keep yourself busy, occupied and away from the food. Remember if you do overindulge it is not "the end of the world."  You can easily correct your behavior the next day by starting over and maybe doing some extra exercise to counter act the high calorie consumption.
